If you do what you love you create an eternal happiness inside yourself, where life's materialistic pressures melt away and don't become as prominent as the world tries to make them. Many times people sacrifice their dreams in order to just get by, yet, wouldn't you want to live life to the fullest and follow your dreams to make the most of your time here?
Many times we let life's demands cloud our passion and halt our motivation to fulfil our dreams. People get stuck in a job that they either hate, or just neutrally respect, but don't totally love just because it makes a good pay check. The count down to retirement begins and it becomes a passing of time more than an experience of life. I hear many people speak on the idea that life begins more so once you retire than all the way through the years. Yet, you have lived so much of life before retirement. If you only start living now, your time maybe so much shorter and your health or energy isn't quite as upbeat to do the stuff you enjoy.
Now, there is nothing wrong with living like this, but wouldn't you want to live life with little more joy all the way through? Wouldn't you want to do something you love where you don't think of retiring because you would want to do it till you die or something better shows up? Wouldn't you want to bring pure joy to your entire life, not just the last little end part; and live a successful life that way instead?
I like to reference Jim Carrey because he speaks so simply profound. He spoke that, "you can fail at something you don't want, so you might as well do what you love." This I feel, couldn't be more true. Why not take a chance on following your passion? If you fail, at least you can say you tried. At least you can say that you went for it and attempted at following your dream. You can say your time was well spent, as you got to work on something you enjoyed even if it changed direction. Yet, by following what you love it could take you even farther than you could have imagined.
It is important to understand that joy and success can both look different to each individual. However, it is when one locks themselves in the idea that success is only when you have enough money to live; that's when the element of joy starts to fade slightly, and life becomes more of a mundane stressed hassle; than a feeling of enthusiasm and bustling fun.
When you do what you love you fill yourself with an inner grounded happiness, with a sense of knowing that everything is gonna work out in the best way possible. You no longer have a worry of life's demands because if you are doing what brings you joy and living your passion, that becomes all that matters.
It's like the concept of being able to sit relaxed, sipping a favourite beverage among the chaos of a tornado. Everything around is turmoiled, but there is inner joy that allows you to sit calmly amongst the craziness knowing that everything will be alright in the end. When you follow your passion your sense of joy becomes the prime focus to protect, it is sacred, it is your core that you will always be able to tap into, to help steer you into a fulfilled life.
Now, I strongly believe in doing what you love, however, it is also important to respect that in this world money does play a large roll; but it doesn't have to run your life. You want joy to do that! So, it does become a bit of a balancing act.
You must let your passion drive your goals and let the money follow. This ensures you take care of your inner happiness before the worlds concept of happiness (money). Money will always work out in some way to some degree. Linking back to a previous blog on Faith, when we let go of how our manifestation comes, than it creates a space for it to be received in an even better way than imagined. This just simply means, follow your dream and do what you love and forget how you wish the money to follow and just know it will come. (If this is hard to grasp, look into the topic I wrote on Faith.)
One aspect to note though, is in regards to how you follow your dream. You must follow your dream with purpose, otherwise it may not meet its full potential. When you follow your dream with purpose; your heart, determination and drive are what helps you achieve your dream and continue to grow it. If you only follow your dream with heart, your ideas are there, your passion is there, but your motive to follow them isn't quite there. You become more of a dream observer than a dream doer. When you work towards your dreams then you show that you are putting the work in and it creates a space where those unsure moments (i.e. money, etc.) take care of themselves.
So, when life becomes about doing what you love and not solely settling on the practical, you create an opportunity to bring more joy into your life as well as those around you. The ripple of following your dreams inspires others to do the same. This then turns a world into joy motivators propelling a movement of living to the fullest. It inspires a life of limitless possibility that's filled with an infinite amount of bliss because you know that what your doing, right now, is something you absolutely love.
